Santa’s back and he’s headed for Seaport Village. The festive Surfin’ Santa Arrival is a SoCal must when it comes to holiday events. Get a pic of Santa Clause and be sure to snag a good spot for the parade along the boardwalk. There will be plenty of good fun, too. Live music, stilt walkers, crafts, and a bunch of photo opportunities makes this the perfect family event.

spooky photoSpooky events can also be fun and there are a ton lined up this season in San Diego. Experience a safe and festive environment without all the fright this year. Here are a few ideas you should pencil in on the calendar.

Brick-Or-Treat

Legoland sure knows how to celebrate Halloween right. On Saturday, October 28 from 5-9 pm, there will be plenty of spooky excitement and extended park hours. Plus, the little ones will love “Craft Time” with the Lego Friends and treat stations with more than one million pieces of candy. Yeah, you read that right. Better make sure they burn off some of that energy at Hubble Bubble’s Dance Party! Legoland isn’t just for kids, though! Don your Halloween costume and release your inner child!

Halloween Family Day

Head over to Balboa Park for a cultured variety of festivities on October 28 from 11 am to 4 pm. With over two dozen participating museums and cultural attractions, there’s quite a lot to see and do during Halloween Family Day. With park-wide costume contests, flash mobs, pumpkin drops, and more, this just might be the Halloween fun you’re looking for. If that wasn’t enough, there will even be a doggie costume contest, which alone, sounds worth it.
